Aromatherapy

Suitable for all age groups, this aromatherapy involves gentle massage together with pressure points to stimulate circulation and lymphatic drainage to rid the body of toxins.

Essential oils are used in aromatherapy to enhance the physical and mental benefits of your session.

All of our oils are organic and these pure natural oils are endowed with a whole host of therapeutic properties. Our therapists will be able to advise and recommend which oils will work well in your treatment. We use grape seed as our carrier oil to avoid issues with nut allergies.

Hopi Ear Candles

Ear candles have been used traditionally by Shaman Healers for centuries. Their historic roots can be found in Asia and can be traced back to Indians of North & South America. This special knowledge was brought to Europe from the Hopi people, the oldest Pueblo tribe, which has knowledge of healing through special healing ceremonies.

Ear candles are used traditionally to cleanse and harmonise different energy fields in the individual aura and to drive out negative energies. This may seem strange to the modern observer but this therapy evolved in an age where therapy and religion formed a natural unit.

A sense of well-being and relaxation are also experienced as well as helping to induce restful sleep.

Hot Stone Massage

Hot Stone Massage is a unique massage where the therapist uses smooth warm stones as an extension of her hands. It is a deep physiological experience using heated basalt stones from Mexico. They are volcanic and are thousands of years old. They are picked from riverbeds where continual erosion creates the smooth surface of the stones. The high levels of iron and magnesium enables the stones to retain the heat for a long time releasing it slowly during the massage – increasing circulation. Blood, rich in oxygen is boosted. Lymph flow is stimulated boosting immunology. Tired, sore aching muscles are relaxed with improvements to strength and flexibility.

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is exceedingly beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.

Swedish massage is based on the following techniques:

Therapeutic Massage

Reflexology

All systems of the physical body eg skeletal, vascular, muscular have a corresponding point in the foot or hand. There are nerve pathways (Meridians) that link these points to the corresponding body part. Sometimes these pathways become congested and physical symptoms are felt. By using pressure techniques on the feet to either stimulate or sedate the reflex points, congestions can be cleared so that the pathways can flow freely again. This helps the body to heal the physical symptoms. Reflexology is a simple, safe and effective treatment that can be used to locate and treat areas of dysfunction or imbalance in the body.
